At the end of the year there will be a prize of a free trip ticket for whoever has bought the most offset tickets!   *based on the mean distance travelled on trips in 2019

Wetlands Cleanup by Canoe
Hunter wetlands centre
10:00 – 15:00
Come and join us to clean up the Hunter Wetlands along Ironbark Creek. We will be using canoes to paddle along the creek collecting rubbish. During a recent survey Clean4Shore estimated several tonnes of rubbish in the mangrove environment around nearby Kooragang Island so we expect there to be plenty to clear out at Ironbark Creek.  As a reward for your hard work (as if the warm fuzzies of saving the environment aren't enough!) we'll have free catering to keep you sustained. No experience is necessary and we will provide all the paddling equipment and some gardening gloves to protect yourself from sharp rubbish. You will need to bring clothes and shoes you don't mind getting wet (it will be muddy), as well as plenty of water and sunscreen.  If you would like to reduce the carbon footprint of driving to/from the trip check out our carbon offset initiative! http://tdy.cl/se/28jhiHY We will have hand sanitiser available for all and we ask that you all check https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/latest-news-and-updates to ensure you have not been to any of the hot spots.
