Skills Workshop - Prusiks
16:00 – 18:00
This week's skill workshop is on prusiks. What are they? How to make them? How to use them?  A working knowledge of prusiks is essential to being an independent climber or canyoner. In this session I'll run through some basic to intermediate techniques so no previous knowledge necessary! A limited number of tickets are available to keep the class size manageable. If you've got a ticket then meet at the gear shed at 4pm Thursday! - Captain Phil

Climbing + Calisthenics Workshop
The Forum Sports & Aquatic Centre
17:00 – 19:00
Hey everyone! We have this NEW and exciting event coming up! We are collaborating with Alex, principal Osteopath, at The Movement Improvement Clinic, to deliver a workshop where NUMC members can learn some calisthenics and exercises to improve climbing strength and agility. Alex is a movement-focused, neurodiverse Osteo who is keen to work with any person to help improve their health and wellbeing in a holistic, intentional approach. Before his injury, he dabbled in climbing, and currently runs some calisthenics classes, so this workshop is in great hands!! This workshop will run for 2 hours; 5pm-7pm on Tuesday 21st April. If you are itching to do ANYTHING climbing related or need a healthy break from study, make sure you come along to this workshop! It will be held at The Forum, room TBA. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to flick me a message on Instagram or Facebook! - Laila Machin

Timor Caves
17-04-2026 15:45 – 18-04-2026 20:00
Want to be a wilderness explorer? Here’s your chance… CAVING in Timor! Quick (and slightly honest) fact sheet: Tight spaces will become your new best friend… along with bats, mud, and a lot of mud. If eating carrots gave you night vision, head torches wouldn’t exist… sadly, you’ll still need one. But in all seriousness, caving is an unforgettable adventure. You’ll get the chance to explore some of Timor’s incredible cave systems, push yourself outside your comfort zone, and experience something completely different from the everyday. It’s challenging, exciting, a little bit dirty but absolutely worth it. Plus, you’ll meet some amazing people (including us lol) along the way and come out with stories you’ll be telling for years. Fair warning: if you’re claustrophobic… this might test you. TICKETS GO ON SALE: 9/04/26 at 8AM These tickets will disappear faster than you think—set your alarms, tell your friends, and be ready! Got questions? Just ask! - Mak & Jack :)
