Barrington Tops Intermediate Overnight Hike
Barrington Tops National Park
19-06-2021 08:00 – 20-06-2021 17:00
***Please make sure you purchase an attendance ticket AND a ticket indicating whether you have your own -5 degree sleeping bag*** Lets go on an adventure in the stunning Barrington Tops! One of my favourite hikes in the area. They are long days with a few difficult creek crossings and long steep sections. This is aimed at extending people who have been on overnight/muti-day hikes before. We will set off from Lagoon pinch to climb the 'Corker Trail' to Junction Creek and return the same way. It will be an awesome opportunity to get to know each other while taking in some magnificent scenery along the way.  Junction Creek campsite has toilets. There is a creek at the campsite however the water needs to be treated (boiled/filtered) before drinking. Your trip ticket cost includes gear from the shed (be sure to grab the appropriate sleeping bag ticket with your main ticket!) and your transport to and from the hike. Meet at the gear shed at 7am on Saturday 19th of June, before driving 2.5 hours to Lagoon Pinch. We will return on Sunday 20th of June by 8:30pm. Bare minimum packing list: Tent (or spot in someone else's tent) - the club has tents Sleeping mat -the club has mats Sleeping bag - your own or a club one if you choose that option Food (lunch Saturday, dinner Saturday, breakfast Sunday and lunch Sunday + snacks) Water (at least 2L a day) Warm clothes for at night Sturdy shoes for walking in Stove (if cooking food - the club has a few), cutlery and other associated cooking and eating implements For any questions contact Sophie at 0430177740 or sophie.mckay@uon.edu.au Cheers, Sophie Vice Prez
