Deep Water soloing

Sun, 6 Sep 2026
08:00 - 13:00

Join us for a Deep Water Soloing session at Fisherman’s Bay. Deep Water Soloing is just like bouldering at Pulse, but instead of falling onto mats, you will fall into the ocean, and you will be climbing real rock.

What to Bring

  • Climbing shoes that can get wet - climbing shoes, Volleys and skate shoes are suitable
  • Wetsuit - can be borrowed from the club if required
  • Towel
  • Snacks
  • Plenty of water
  • Swimmers/change of clothes
  • Dry bag or waterproof bag for valuables and dry clothing
  • Sunscreen and a hat are recommended

Meeting Point & Transport

We will meet at the Gear Shed before the activity, where we will organise equipment and carpool to Fisherman’s Bay.

Requirements

To participate, you must be a confident swimmer and able to swim at least 100 m. You should also be comfortable treading water and swimming in open water.

Tickets & Weather

Tickets will go on sale on the Wednesday before the event.

Please note that the event date is weather and sea-condition dependent. Deep Water Soloing requires suitable weather and a small swell, so the event date may need to be changed if conditions are not suitable.
