Landcare, swimming holes and scenery, could this be the perfect trip?
Hunter Intrepid Landcare has been contacted about clearing Cape Ivy (Delairea odorata) and False Capsicum (Solanum pseudocapsicum) from a site on the edge of the beautiful Mount Royal National Park and need some mountaineering muscle to get the job done!
We will be meeting at the gear shed (around the back of the forum at Callaghan) https://goo.gl/maps/rMk2aLHi537bEVMWA at 8 am on Saturday and driving up to the property (about 2 hours drive).
We will spend the day helping the landowner remove the invasive weeds, have a dip to cool off and the night having a few drinks around the campfire. On Sunday we have the option to do an early morning birdspotting walk and then either continue doing landcare or go for a short hike (or both) depending on enthusiasm levels before we drive back on Sunday afternoon. Tools will be provided by Hunter Intrepid Landcare.
