Watagans Day Hike

We've got two days of FREE intro to hiking in the Watagans forest, run by Hunter TAFE, beginners welcome!

As part of their certification, outdoor recreation students need to demonstrate proficiency in teaching people to hike, so the NUMC - in return for providing students as novice hikers - get a free introduction to hiking! 

You do not need to be a novice to attend this trip, everyone is welcome.

There are two days the TAFE has set out for training;

Day 1 : Monday 25th November

Day 2: Tuesday 26th November

Please select a FREE ticket for the event on the day(s) you wish to attend. This will reserve your place. 

Car pooling will be organised once attendance has been sorted.

On each of these days we can take up to 12 students on the hike.

Start time 09:00

Finish time 16:00

NUMC members to bring: 

-sturdy walking shoes

-backpack (can be borrowed from the club)

-water ~2L

-food for the day

-hat and sunblock

-long pants and long shirt are suggested (tick protection)
