This trip will be a weekend long kayaking trip through the beautiful Kuring-Gai National Park, from Saturday the 21st of October to Sunday the 22nd of October.
The group will meet at the gear shed at 8 am on Saturday, load up boats and drive to Mooney Mooney on the Central Coast.
From there we will kayak for approximately 15km to Marramarra Campsite and stay the night there. Due to the distance a reasonable level of fitness is required, approximately similar to being able to do a 4-5 hour hike.
The next day we will kayak back to the cars at Mooney Mooney and drive back to Newcastle, tired, sore and happy!
Most of the camping and kayaking gear you need can be hired from the club. You will need to bring your own food and clothing (for both on and off the water).
The campsite has woodfire barbecues, and toilets. We will have to carry all our own water.
An email with further details will be sent out closer to the date for those who have bought a ticket.
