Hey Fam!

If anybody has been thinking, "Gee, winter in Newcastle just isn't cold enough for me" or "This house is just a bit too comfortable, I wish I was in a tent" then a 2 day hike in the Blue Mountains is perfect for you.

This hike is around 25km over 2 days and involves some hills. The trip requires a moderate level of fitness and more than anything, an appreciation for some lightweight type 2 fun.
This is a great opportunity to taste test overnight hiking if you're new to it.

The Plan:
3rd July - Leave NUMC gear shed at 5pm to drive to Cathedral Camping reserve, Mt Wilson.
(3hr drive +stopping time for driving breaks & dinner)

4th July - Big, warm group breakfast (provided) and then drive over to Mountain Lagoon (near Bilpin) to start the 12Km walk down to the gorgeous Colo Meroo River where we will camp and enjoy fire, food and friends.

5th July - Head on back to the cars via a beautiful ridgeline and stop to enjoy the views/reassess our life choices after climbing each hill. Drive on home with some cranking tunes.

TICKET TYPES:
If you have a car and can transport yourself and 3 others please consider buying a 'driver ticket' to help us get everyone there. Fuel is covered by the club and driving comes with DJ rights for the trip.
For those of you who do not have transport, please buy a Non-driver ticket and transport will be provided.
